Tenant Groups

The Tenants’ Voice is a group of 12 tenants who meet regularly to look at issues, policies and  procedures, providing the Housing Service with a valuable tenant’s perspective. They have recently increased the frequency of meetings to once every two months.

Housing Community Initiatives

Officers have been busy working in the community to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents, and to help make our services easier to access.

In 2022/2023 a number of new initiatives were launched, including a new series of housing surgeries across the city. These surgeries take place in various community centres, bringing the housing service to peoples’ doorsteps. Officers have been able to provide valuable advice, information and answer questions throughout the day. These sessions have been popular with residents, so we will continue to run them.  Keep an eye out on our Facebook Page for when one is coming to your area.

The team have also been busy arranging various events, activities and other initiatives for our tenants and leaseholders, including:

  • Two family activity days held in Wonford
  • Community litter picks
  • Estate tidy-up days

  • Tablets for our tenant group members
