3. Review of a licence

Review of a licence

A responsible authority or any other person can in certain circumstances apply for a review of a current premises licence or club certificate if a premises does not promote the 4 licensing objectives.  These are: 

  • the prevention of crime and disorder
  • public safety
  • the prevention of public nuisance
  • the protection of children from harm

Following a review, a premises may have changes made to their licence or in extreme cases be closed down.
