Household Support Fund

1. Household Support Fund 5

Our fifth Household Support Fund is now open for applications. If you are an Exeter resident, on a low income, and struggling with the cost of essentials we want to hear from you.

You do not need to have received help under earlier schemes to make a claim. No direct awards will be made under this scheme, so if you would like to make a claim please get in touch.

We understand that costs of many things remain high and therefore most people will be facing some financial difficulty. This fund is limited and we want to make sure the support can make the most difference. In your application please tell us why you are particularly affected and how an award could make things easier for you moving forwards. Award amounts are not fixed but will reflect your circumstances as well as the available budget and the demand for help from the fund. Awards will usually be made by way of a voucher posted to your address which can be exchanged for cash at your local Post Office branch.

Please note: this is not an emergency payment scheme. You should allow a reasonable time of 4 to 6 weeks for your claim to be assessed and the award sent out.

Please see the full policy for this scheme. More information on the background to this scheme and a summary of the eligibility conditions are included on the following pages.

The scheme will run until the end of September 2024 but will close sooner if all funds have been spent. We may need to pause taking new applications at times of particularly high demand. Any updates to the scheme and application process will be added here.

You can make your claim using our Household Support Fund application form.
