4. Proxy votes

If you are unable to vote due to physical incapacity, are away from home due to work or study, or if you will be away on holiday on polling day, and want someone to vote on your behalf at a polling station, you can apply for a proxy vote.

If you require a proxy vote, please download the relevant proxy vote form and return it to us at this address:

Exeter City Council
Civic Centre
Paris Street

EX1 1JN

Completed proxy vote applications must be received by 5.00 pm 6 working days before an election provided you are already registered to vote.

When appointing your proxy you will need to ensure that your proxy is also eligible to vote in the type of election concerned and is able to attend the polling station at which you would have voted (otherwise your proxy will need to make arrangements to vote by post by the relevant deadline – 11 working days before an election).
