The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) offers a range of grants towards the installation of Electric Vehicle (EV) chargepoints and infrastructure:
- The chargepoint grant for renters and flat owners provides electric vehicle (EV) drivers who are renters or own a flat with support towards the costs of the purchase and installation of EV charge points. Open 1 April 2022 – 31 March 2025. 75% off the cost to buy and install a socket, up to a maximum of £350.
- The chargepoint grant for households with on-street parking provides electric vehicle (EV) drivers with support towards the costs of the purchase and installation of EV chargepoints at residential properties when also installing a cross-pavement charging solution. Open 18 March 2024 – 31 March 2025. 75% off the cost to buy and install a socket, up to a maximum of £350.
- The chargepoint and infrastructure grants for landlords consists of two grants that can be applied for to install chargepoints for electric vehicles at owned properties. Open 1 April 2022 – 31 March 2025.
- The EV chargepoint grant gives money off the cost of installing an EV chargepoint socket (75% off the cost to buy and install a socket, up to a maximum of £350 per socket).
- The EV infrastructure grant gives money off the cost of wider building and installation work that’s needed to install multiple chargepoint sockets. 75% off the cost of the work up to a maximum of £30,000.
