Exeter has one of the longest and most distinguished histories of any of the cities of Britain.

Over the years is has been a Roman legionary fortress and regional capital, a Saxon royal burh and medieval cathedral city, and one of Britain’s leading early modern towns with an international trading network.

Today Exeter is a the regional capital of the South West, a confident, vigorous city and a hugely popular tourist and conference destination.
