About the Site

The aims of this Web site are:

  • to create a digital information resource based on the collections of Exeter material at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum augmented where appropriate by records from the Archaeological Field Unit, Exeter Cathedral Library, the Westcountry Studies Library and Devon Record Officeleading to the creation of a community information centre.

  • to enable users to access a range of information about Exeter and more specifically localities within the Exeter Region in an accessible form that meets the interests of both tourists and city residents alike.

The site was developed by the Telematics Centre at the University of Exeter.
