Economic Trends Report

Since 2005 the Council has produced quarterly Economic Trends Reports.

The purpose of the reports is to provide an overview of the current social and economic conditions in the city and the Exeter and Heart of Devon sub-region (covering the districts of Exeter, East Devon, Mid Devon and Teignbridge).

The report covers a range of issues including earnings, house prices, employment, population, business confidence, and census information.

The most recent report (November 2011) covers a number of important areas including:

• How young people in particular are being affected by job cuts; 
• Prospects for private sector job growth; and
• News on house prices, education and skills and business news and information
