Park and Ride sites are provided to enable visitors to park their car on the periphery of the city and travel onwards by bus to the city centre or other destination.
Park and Ride Bus
Summary of servicesThere are four park and ride sites in Exeter. From three of them, services are operated by Stagecoach to the city centre:
Note that from 12 October 2012, the Red service has been operating an improved timetable, running earlier in the morning and later into the evening. See Devon County Council - Park & Ride for full details. An additional service runs between Sowton and County Hall at peak times. From the fourth site, at Digby, a service is operated by Dartline Coaches to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. More informationFor more information on the location of the car parks (including postcodes), facilities, boarding points in the city centre, bus times and prices, visit Devon County Council - Park & Ride. The English National Bus Pass can be used on all of these services from 9.30am on weekdays and all day at weekends and public holidays. Please note that all Park and Ride sites have height restrictions (full details from Devon County Council - Park & Ride) and are therefore not suitable for motor caravans. In the case of Matford Park & Ride Car Park, ten unrestricted spaces are available on an adjacent site to the right of the entrance. Alternatively, the Haven Banks Car Parks (close to the city's historic Quayside) has no height restriction. |
