Parks and open spaces events

Before permission to use Council land is granted, Exeter City Council must be satisfied that we have worked with the event organisers to consider every aspect of the event, helping to ensure the safety and success.

Application for the use of Council land

Members of the public are able to apply to use Council owned parks and open spaces for events.

You will need to download the application pack below. Please also read all of the enclosed information that may assist you in completing the application form and planning your event.

The application should be completed in full and returned with copies of the following documents:

  • One copy of the Standard Conditions for use of Council Owned Land (included in the application pack)
  • Proof of public liability insurance
  • Event risk assessment
  • Event Site Plan

We will be unable to process your application without these documents.

PLEASE NOTE: The Council needs at least six weeks to process your application form. Exeter City Council can accept no liability for loss or damage sustained as a result of the event organiser's failure to fully complete and return the required documentation.

Completed forms may be returned by post, fax or email to the Parks & Open Spaces team.
