St. Thomas Pleasure Grounds

Exeter's Parks & Open Spaces team manages more than 250 acres of public open space throughout the City.  Together with local Valley parks, public open space makes up 9.5% of the total area of the city.  Our department works with number of partners to deliver various services throughout Exeter.

Exeter's parks benefit from a world-class Veitch Heritage and are among the oldest public open spaces in England.  A number of vibrant residential parks, play areas, and playing fields provide invaluable civic amenity and refuge for urban wildlife.

Exeter's parks and open spaces provide some of the most widely used social and recreational facilities for residents and visitors.
