Community patrollers

Information about Exeter City Councils Community Patrollers Service

Community Patrollers operates daily between 7am and midnight and can be contacted via our control centre on 0845 351 1060

What will Patrollers do?

• Help the community to help itself
• Liaise and facilitate
• Reduce the opportunity for crime
• Work closely with the local police
• Advise on home safety and help with crime prevention
• Deter anti-social behaviour
• Help in neighbourhood disputes
• Work with community groups
• Participate in youth activities
• Respond to complaints from the public
• Report problems such as littering, graffiti, dog fouling etc
• Report environmental problems
• Report abandoned vehicles
• Patrol the area looking for problems and monitoring nuisance
