Getting to the Civic Centre by car (including park and ride)
There is very limited visitor parking at the Civic Centre.
There is space for blue badge holders, plus a few spaces for other visitors with waiting limited to 40 minutes. We suggest that visitors to our offices and facilities in the city centre should follow Getting to the Civic Centre on foot, by bike, bus or train wherever possible to help avoid city centre congestion.
Park and Ride
If you need to drive, please use the Park and ride if at all possible.

Triangle car park -(surface car park, long stay, 5-10 minutes' walk away) - EX1 2BR

Travelling from the East (A30)
The A30 joins the M5 at junction 29. For Honiton Road Park and ride continue straight ahead on the A3015, passing under the M5.
If driving into the city, continue straight ahead on Honiton Road. After a couple of miles (and after passing through Heavitree shops) you will see Exeter Central Police Station on your right. Triangle Car Park is the next right. For Princesshay 2 (formerly known as Civic Centre / Dix's Field) Car Park continue over the next roundabout into Paris Street past the Civic Centre. Turn left at the traffic lights into Southernhay, left again into Dix's Field, and left for a third time into Princesshay 2 car park.
Travelling from the North (M5)
From the M5 southbound use Junction 29, and turn right at the bottom of the slip road on to the A3015. For Honiton Road Park and ride or if driving into the city centre follow instructions as for A30 East.
Travelling from the South (A38/A380)
Follow the A38 or A380 towards Exeter. For Sowton Park and ride (for Civic Centre) continue on to M5, leave at Junction 30 and follow signs. For Matford Park and ride (for Corn Exchange) leave the A38 at junction with A379 and follow signs.
If driving into the city, continue as far as M5 Junction 31 and turn on to A30 westbound, then follow for approximately two miles. Turn off 1st left at Alphington Junction, marked Exeter and Crediton A377, then follow instructions for visitors from the West.
Travelling from the West (A30)
Proceed towards Exeter on the A30 from Okehampton. Turn off at Alphington Junction before the M5, marked Exeter and
For Princesshay 2 (formerly known as Civic Centre / Dix's Field) Car Park take the 1st exit (left) into Paris Street (signed City Centre with brown Tourist Information sign). Pass the Civic Centre on your left, turn left at the traffic lights into Southernhay, left again into Dix's Field, and left for a third time into Princesshay 2 car park.
