2010 Exeter Summer Festival - all over now ...

We were pleased at the response that we received from the public this year.  A number of events sold out and we had some excellent feedback.  Exeter's Summer Festival is important to the city on many levels. It attracts visitors, promotes a positive image of a confident city, and showcases some superb events.

These are some of the events that took place in the 2010 Summer Festival:

Living History Pageant Classical music to impress! Live and lively

Events for 2010 included historical re-enactments at the Living History Weekend. Theo Jansen's spectacular kinetic sculpture attracted thousands of visitors, our comedy events produced a lot of laughs, a promenade opera performance was an excitingly different event and there was a hugely popular finale fireworks. As well as these important free events taking place across the city in Summer Festival 2010, there was a classical concert programme as well as theatre, music and dance programmes in our city venues.

Keep watching for details of next year's Summer Festival - likely to take place in mid July 2011.
