Monkey Music Monkey Music is one of the Exeter Barnfield's regular events

Exeter Barnfield

The Exeter Little Theatre performs at least three plays and a pantomime every year at the Exeter Barnfield Theatre.  Youth group productions, one-act plays, visiting professional companies or solo artists like Clare Teal and a traditional pantomime feature in the annual programme of events.  Regular events like Monkey Music for under 5s, The Barnfield Music Club (first Friday of every month) and Green Banana Drama Workshops foster and encourage new talent.

Exeter Corn Exchange

This popular city centre venue hosts many events.  These include regular comedy club nights, musical events, dance including regular jive, ceroc and ballroom dancing evenings. This venue has an excellent name for both top comedy, blues and folk acts.   Omid DjaliliJimmy Carr, Fairport Convention, Tommy Emmanual and Acoustic Strawbs have all performed here recently.  For a programme contact 01392 665866.

Exeter New Theatre

A small but well-loved theatre where the Cygnet Theatre Academy is based.  From Feydeau farces to modern drama, from Shakespeare plays to musicals, these enthusiastic actors always give 100%.

Exeter Northcott

The Exeter Northcott is located on the University campus.  A very good selection of events take place here from plays by Ibsen and Shakespeare, light-hearted theatre, dance, touring operas, classical concerts, comedy and some local amateur productions.  For more information about this theatre please follow the link to their website below:

Exeter Phoenix

This contemporary arts and media venue presents live music, art, dance, comedy and spoken word from regional, national and international artists.  If you want to relive the 70s, this is the place to see your heroes of yesteryear.  Ten Years After, The Hamsters, Chris Farlowe and Peter Green have all performed here in recent years.  Exeter Phoenix also runs arts and media courses, shows film, holds exhibitions in its various gallery spaces, provides conference space and is one of the main venues for the annual Vibraphonic, Laugh out Loud and Animated Exeter festivals.  It is also the venue for the annual Analogue to Digital Music Expo.

The Bike Shed Theatre

Exeter's newest theatre.  Situated at the top of Fore Street, in the heart of the city centre, this small theatre stages quality drama throughout the year.

University Great Hall

A venue used for large events.  The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra have put on concerts here as have groups like Show of HandsThe Kaiser Chiefs performed here in February 2013.

Westpoint

The large arena, about 5 miles outside the city has occasional large concerts.   The Scissor Sisters performed here several years ago.  Westpoint also hosts the annual Devon County Show each May, an annual Holiday on Ice Show and regular Antiques and Trade Fairs.
