Part 1. Introduction to Health and Safety at Work

A. Introduction to health and safety
B. Health and safety law
C. Health
D. Safety
E. Welfare

Part 2. Workplace specific Health and Safety

F. The workplace and work equipment
G. Risk assessment
H. Manual handling
I. Hazardous substances
J. Ergonomics and workplace design
K. Working at heights
L. Transport and vehicles
M. Noise and vibration

Examination

The course ends with a short multiple-choice test where candidates will need to achieve 20 correct answers from the 30 questions to receive the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Level 2 Award in Health and Safety Certificate.

An oral option is also available for those who prefer this. Please state at time of booking whether an oral examination is required. In the event that we are unable to provide this on the course day, you may be asked to return for the examination at a later date.

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health also provide a small range of exam papers in the candidates preferred language:

• Polish
• Portuguese

Requests for these exam papers must be made at time of booking. Exam papers in other languages are currently in production, please contact us for further information

Please note: All candidates must bring photographic proof of identification on the day of the course to meet the Examination Board's requirements. Candidates that do not bring photographic identification will not be able to take the course.
