The market is open from Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 4.30pm Information for tradersThis is a street trading operation, open-air on the pavement adjacent to Sidwell Street between Paris Street and Cheeke Street. Licences are granted for periods of 4 weeks, 13 weeks, 26 weeks and 52 weeks. You need to provide and erect your own stall, designed to a specification approved by the Council. Unfortunately, there is no electricity on the market. Please note, we are unable to accept applications from catering vans or fast food lines although we do have a limited number of pitches available for unusual street food. If you are interested in the Market, please complete the Sidwell Street licence feesFees for licences to trade on Sidwell Street pitches are revised annually on 1st April each year. The fees vary according to the individual pitch but currently start at £200 for 4 weeks, £600 for 13 weeks, £1000 for 26 weeks and £1800 for 52 weeks. If you wish to trade at this market you must have Public Liability Insurance cover to a value of £5 million, which must be kept up to date. You are also advised to have Product Liability Insurance, Employer Liability Insurance (if you employ anyone) and insurance cover for theft. This is readily obtainable at a reasonable cost and we give you names of several companies who provide this and other business insurance cover.
