License applications in progressAs part of the amendments made to the Licensing Act 2003 under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 it is now a responsibility of the licensing authority to publish all licence applications in progress.
Home Office surveyThe government is working towards implementing the Alcohol Strategy and has carried out a public consultation on various proposals. One such proposal is to remove the requirement for applicants to place advertisements in newspapers and circulars when they make an application for a premises licence, a variation of a premises licence, a new application for a club premises certificate and a variation of a club premises certificate. If you have recently made a representation to any of the aforementioned licence applications, then please take the time to complete the attached survey, you can either post it to The Alcohol Team, The Drugs and Alcohol Unit, 4th Floor, Fry Building, 2 Marsham Street, SW1P 4DF or email Licensing_Survey@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk The survey will run until 24 May 2013. |
