Householder planning appeals and representations

When viewing a planning application using our Search planning applications and appeals pages you may make representations by using the 'public representations' section towards the bottom of the 'details of planning application' screen. Alternatively you can send an email to us at planning@exeter.gov.uk or write to us using the details in the 'Contact us' box on the right.
All representations including names and addresses (regardless of how we receive them) are made available to view online. By marking the representation 'not for website' we are able to ensure that signatures, email addresses and personal telephone numbers are not shown on the website. This does not however, apply to representations submitted to us online through our website.

We try to ensure that all representations are available to view online within 48 hours of their submission. Due to the volume of representations received they are not acknowledged and individual points raised are not answered, although all comments (related to planning matters) are taken into consideration as part of the decision making process.

In the event of an appeal being made where a householder application has been refused, any representations made about the application will be passed to the Secretary of State and there will be no opportunity to make further representations.
