Activities Matrix - Employment and Skills Boards

There are five Employment and Skills Boards (ESBs) operating across the "Heart of the South West" area:

  • Exeter and Heart of Devon (EHOD)
  • Northern Devon
  • Torbay and South Devon
  • Plymouth
  • Somerset

The ESB Matrix has been developed to show all current ESB activities and how they are supporting delivery of the Local Enterprise Partnership's business plan. The matrix will be updated quarterly to monitor progress.

EHOD Employment and Skills Plan 2011-13

Exeter and Heart of Devon Displays a larger version of this image in a new browser windowThe EHOD Employment and Skill Plan 2011-13 set out the key objectives, working structures and desired outcomes of the Board's work to influence the delivery of skills and stimulate economic growth moving forward. The Plan also includes a delivery strategy and action plan which identifies activities to be delivered over three years.

New Growth Point - Employment and Skills Project (February 2011)

Roger Tym & Partners Displays a larger version of this image in a new browser windowThe EHOD Employment and Skills Board commissioned local consultants Roger Tym & Partners to undertake this study. The study determined the quantity and type of jobs likely to be generated by the Growth Point developments and identifies a programme of training and specific actions that can be delivered to help prepare EHOD residents for the employment opportunities. Growth Point developments include: Exeter Science Park, Exeter International Airport expansion, Intermodal Freight Terminal, Cranbrook, Skypark Business Park and Flybe Training Academy. This research and the recommended actions were used to inform the development of the EHOD ESB Employment and Skills Plan.

EHOD Statement of Work and Skills Priorities (September 2010)

South West Observatory Skills and Learning Displays a larger version of this image in a new browser windowWorking through the Productive Skills for Devon Partnership, the four Devon Local Employment and Skills Boards (LESBs) commissioned the Skills and Learning Intelligence Module (SLIM) of the South West Observatory to support their priority setting, initially through the collation of a common evidence base for each of the LESB areas. A consultation programme wad been undertaken for each area and the Statement of Work and Skills Priorities represents the outcome of this process.

EHOD Employment and Skills Analysis (May 2010)

South West Observatory Skills and Learning Displays a larger version of this image in a new browser windowThe Skills and Learning Intelligence Module (SLIM) of the South West Observatory have undertaken detailed analysis of employment and skills related data for the Exeter and Heart of Devon Area. The Employment and Skills Analysis is the outcome of this process.
