Local Housing Allowance is the rent figure used to work out Housing Benefit for people renting from a private landlord.

Local Housing Allowance rates will be published on this site each month showing the maximum amount payable for each number of bedrooms. The rate set will generally apply to your claim for a period of one year. After a year your claim will be automatically reviewed and changed to the new rate.
LHA rates are set by the Rent Service and not by Exeter City Council.
