Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support is paid by Exeter City Council to help pay towards your rent and Council Tax. How much benefit you receive will depend on your circumstances and how much rent and Council Tax you have to pay.

Second Adult Rebate is a benefit for people who are Pension Credit age and solely liable for Council Tax, but do not get a Single Occupier Discount because there are other adult(s) living in the property.  You cannot claim Second Adult Rebate if you are working age.

If your Housing Benefit does not fully cover your rent, we may be able to give you an extra payment called a Discretionary Housing Payment (DHP)
