Restaurants and Eating Out
Exeter has a diverse range of eating out venues to suit all tastes and budgets - you really are spoilt for choice.
Exeter is enjoying a food and drink revolution with more and more great eating establishments and international menus. It has been voted one of the top places to eat out in the UK, by Which Good Food Guide. It is also a Fairtrade City, with a growing number of shops, cafes and restaurants in Exeter selling Fairtrade products.
There are cafes and teashops in charming historic buildings, restaurants and bistros with great views and independent restaurants serving top quality Devon produce. If you're eating on the go, there are delicatessens and markets offering seasonal local food - pick up a delicious pie or pasty from the Exeter Farmers Market at the junction of Fore Street and South Street every Thursday 9am - 2pm, or visit the Exeter Street Food Market in the Guildhall Shopping Centre, Friday - Sunday.
